Job Description: This assignment is part of new global partnership program with our customer.  Ideal candidates for this project should posses a solid working knowledge of quality assurance principles in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Prior experience with validation activities such as Source Inspection, In Process Inspection, and First Article Inspection are preferred. As part of the screening process all applicants will be required  to pass a 50 question Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) test in order to be considered to participate in the candidate selection process. Candidates within 50-100 to the location listed are ideal. The start date of the assignment is tentatively set March 15th 2020. Training with the customer will include shadowing with an existing customer employee to ensure proper understanding of position requirements, company processes, and inspection ability.    Requirements: Candidate must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies. The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard. Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs). The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers. Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. Candidate should be computer savvy.
